Job Summary

The Paul M. Rady Department of Mechanical Engineering is seeking for a motivated research assistant to support research efforts focused on frequency comb absorption spectroscopy in aerosol and reacting systems. These projects include laser instrumentation development, laboratory studies, and field-deployment of systems.

Who We Are

The Precision Laser Diagnostics Laboratory at the University of Colorado-Boulder develops and deploys instrumentation, including frequency comb laser spectrometers, for trace gas sensing in atmospheric, industrial, biological and combustion environments.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

The position offers the unique opportunity to develop frequency comb laser sensors and apply them to aerosol and reacting systems.

The hire rate for this position is $20.00 per hour.

What We Require

  • BS in Physics
  • Quantum Mechanics and Physics Coursework
  • Knowledge of Python

What You Will Need

  • Experimental background 

What We Would Like You to Have

  • Internship in applied optics research
