Job Summary
The Undergraduate Research Fellows Program Leader is responsible for the leadership, instruction, mentoring, administration, evaluation, and continuous improvement of the Undergraduate Research Fellows Program. They will oversee the URF program, which is a 3-year fellowship program that supports the next generation of mental health and wellness researchers who are supported with the personal and academic skills to lead and thrive within research and practice contexts.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
Research
- The candidate will primarily be responsible for the following research activities:
- Develops, implements, and analyzes data from program evaluations to inform cycles of iteration and improvement and to ensure program alignment with program objectives and deliverables
- Presents quarterly reports to Crown Institute leadership summarizing program impacts
- Design and conduct independent and collaborative research
- Prepare and publish manuscripts and present findings at research conferences
- Submit extramural grants
- Provide a context for undergraduates to apprentice into research experiences
- Leading, mentoring, and supervise the Undergraduate Research Fellows’ collaborative project, including providing guidance on and overseeing research design, literature review, IRB submission, data collection and quantitative and mixed methods analysis, and the preparation of results for conference presentation(s). Also includes liaising with community partners or collaborators affiliated with the project.
- Provides mentoring for students on research methods, including quantitative and qualitative methods
- Provides mentoring for students on writing and presenting research
Teaching/Facilitation/Mentorship
- Leads the design, instruction, and evaluation of the three 1-credit fellows’ research seminars, including the development of learning activities, materials and measures of assessment
- Designs instructional material to support students in learning quantitative analysis
- Provides professional development mentoring for students, including identifying and applying to attend conferences, learning about graduate school and application processes
Program Lead
- Oversees application process for fellows, including the recruitment of students, development and maintenance of an application system, and review of applications in collaboration with team members
- Liaises with faculty to establish working agreements, setup mentoring opportunities and schedules, and monitors quality of students’ experiences in their lab settings
- Plans, facilitates, and completes administrative steps to lead cohort workshops and program meetings
- Oversees the establishment of independent study credits, including being the instructor of record or connecting students to faculty of record
- Serve as point of contact for department and campus with the program.
- Completes and maintains current updates with all necessary trainings to comply with University policy
- Organizes and facilitates community building events for Fellows
- Collaborates to develop funding proposals to support the growth and continuation of the program

- This is a hybrid position with an expectation of regular in person presence and in person instruction and mentoring.
What We Can Offer
The salary range for this position is $71,811.79 - $82,807.97 annually.

What We Would Like You to Have
- Doctorate in a Psychology or closely related field
- Fluency in oral and written English
- Experience running participatory, qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods research programs
- Experience with collaborative research, working with community members, and co-design.
- Demonstrated strong ability to publish and develop materials that speak to a wide variety of audiences
