Job Summary

The University of Colorado’s Center for Health and Addiction: Neuroscience, Genes and Environment (CUChange) has a visiting postdoctoral Research Associate position.

Who We Are

We are a motivated team that conducts transdisciplinary research exploring factors linked with the effects of cannabis products on opioid use, alcohol use, and chronic pain. We seek a postdoctoral Research Associate to join our team and contribute to data analysis, manuscript preparation, and dissemination on these topics. Candidates should possess a PhD in Psychology or Neuroscience. This position is well suited for an individual with independent data analysis expertise.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

Expected responsibilities: Initiating analytical projects with an existing dataset, leading and contributing to manuscript development, submission, and revision, participating in dissemination activities such as conference and meeting attendance, and mentoring junior trainees.

What We Can Offer

$55,000.00 and up, which will be commensurate with education and experience.

What We Require

Required qualifications include the following:
  • PhD
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with study staff, postdoctoral researchers, undergraduates, principle investigators, and other laboratories
  • Advanced statistical concepts and software proficiency (R/R Studio, SAS, or comparable)
  • Thorough understanding of core neurobiological concepts
  • Outstanding empirical writing skills

What We Would Like You To Have

 Preferred qualifications include the following:
  • Experience with advanced/high performance computing systems:
    • R
    • SEM
    • REDCap project design and management
