Candidates are being considered for the position of Assistant Director of Research (research faculty) in the Center for Healthy Mind, Mood and Development (with affiliation in the Research on Affective Disorders and Development Laboratory) within the Department of Psychology & Neuroscience at the University of Colorado Boulder.
Who We Are
The Center for Healthy Mind, Mood and Development at CU Boulder (Director: Dr. Roselinde Kaiser) is pioneering a transformative approach that shifts the paradigm of depression science to promote healthy mood in young people. We hold a vision for transdisciplinary discovery of the nature, prevention and treatment of youth depression, achieved by a team of diverse scientists, students, educators, and community stakeholders working together to produce integrative research with significant public health impact.
The Research on Affective Disorders and Developmental Laboratory (Director: Dr. Roselinde Kaiser) is an interdisciplinary group performing clinical research to gain insight into the brain, behavioral, and developmental processes that reflect or underlie depression and other mood experiences, with the goal of leveraging our discoveries to foster emotional health.
Research in the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience spans topics ranging from synaptic plasticity to social decision making; from attention allocation to emotional happiness and pain; from stress to suffering. Our faculty have a rich pattern of collaboration with each other and with faculty in other departments and institutes.
What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
This position will work closely with Dr. Kaiser to design, implement, and supervise research and related programs, and administer high-level project management. Responsibilities include:
Research activities (70-75%):
- Development and delivery of research-informed outreach and education programs.
- General (cross-project/program) research study oversight.
- Supervision of clinical research evaluations.
- Oversight of research data systems, quality assurance, implementation/interpretation of analytic pipelines.
- Oversight and development of funding and grant proposals, sponsor reports.
- Presentation of research and program outcomes to scientific and lay audiences.
Project management/administrative (25-30%):
- Oversight of research personnel management and training.
- Oversight of laboratory finances.
- Communication with administrative units and community partners.
What We Can Offer
The salary range for this full-time appointment is $60,000-$95,000 annually.

What We Require
- A graduate degree (PhD, PsyD, EdD, or comparable) in psychology, education, neuroscience, or a related field.
What You Will Need
- Experience in research with pediatric and/or adult populations.
- Experience managing a team in a research or academic setting.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
