Job Summary

The Lockheed Martin Engineering Management Program (EMP) in the College of Engineering and Applied Science (CEAS) at the University of Colorado Boulder is seeking an experienced technical and management professional to join our dynamic program. This is a full-time teaching position (non-research based), with a working title of Professor of Engineering Practice. The ideal candidate is qualified by experience, professional success, and educational preparation to teach graduate-level engineering management courses to early and mid-career engineers and undergraduate engineering management courses to engineering students.

The EMP provides advanced technical management education for engineers and scientists. The Program offers an M.E. degree in Engineering Management, an undergraduate minor in Engineering Management, and multiple graduate certificates with courses offered on-campus, online, and in a studio setting using state-of-the-art distance technology. A complete description of the Program can be found on the EMP website at http://emp.colorado.edu. This position is a non-tenure track, multi-year renewable contract appointment.

Who We Are

The Lockheed Martin Engineering Management Program celebrates 30 years of providing valuable instruction for technical professionals who want to become leaders in their industry. In 1992, the W. Edwards Deming Endowed Professorship was established. The Martin Marietta Corporation, now Lockheed Martin, created our second endowed professorship in 1994. These endowments and a substantial grant from Lockheed Martin allowed the Program to further its educational mission and expand.

Throughout the years, our mission has remained the same: to best prepare engineers, applied scientists, and technical professionals for career advancement in leadership and management. From undergraduate to graduate-level work, our focus is to help students at all levels achieve their career objectives and succeed in technical and engineering fields.

The Engineering Management Program (EMP) is flexible to best fit your needs. We offer programs for graduate, undergraduate, and certificate-level students, both on campus and online.
