Job Summary
The Office of Advancement at CU Boulder encourages applications for a Senior Program Manager! The Senior Program Manager operates as a key support member of the Leeds School of Business Advancement team. This position uses autonomy, independence and subject matter expertise to provide administrative and stewardship support for a high-performing and collaborative advancement team. This position works under minimal direction on a broad array of duties that are variable and sophisticated in nature and is tasked with exercising a high level of discretion and confidentiality, especially as it relates to assigned responsibilities with donors, faculty, staff and administration. This role serves as the conduit between the fundraising team and the Leeds Accounting and Procurement team to ensure gift utilization.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
Donor Stewardship and Solicitation Support
- Liaise with the Leeds Accounting and Procurement Office for student scholarships, faculty awards, etc to ensure donations are applied appropriately and efficiently.
- Manage weekly gift acknowledgments from school leadership, development officers, students, and other partners.
- Conduct preliminary research on prospective donors and assist in identifying, through research of available databases, social media, and networking platforms to help team build a comprehensive pipeline.
- Analyze donor engagement trends and alumni giving patterns to advise outreach strategies and identify high-potential prospects.
- Research and resolve gift administration issues; serve as a subject matter expert for the team on issues related to gift administration.
- Assist in preparing detailed reports and projections on donor giving to support development officers in strategy and solicitation.
- Track and manage major gift pipeline data and update development officers on outlook and projections.
- Supporting development officers in pipeline reviews and strategy discussions by providing analysis and insights.
- Assisting in drafting and reviewing gift agreements to ensure donor intent is clear.
- Receive and respond to donor and constituent inquiries, and collaborate with appropriate team member.
- Partners with team members to provide required data for impact reports and other communications.
Administrative Support
- Use data from university databases to create requested reports, spreadsheets, and donor correspondence.
- Prepare and distribute various administrative materials including financial and administrative reports and personal letters of invitation, gift acknowledgments, explanation, information, and cultivation.
- Update donor database with notes, strategic plans, contact reports, proposals, and tasks to ensure the most current and relevant information is available.
- Monitor and record donations and event payments.
- Provide event support and preparation as necessary.
Other Duties as Assigned
- Manage cohort of Leeds Advancement student interns (typically 2-3 students).
- Serve as a resource for Advancement colleagues across the division around gift utilization and standard processes related to CRM and fund management.
- Proactively engage with the division’s Administrative Team (A-Team) and attend scheduled meetings.
What You Should Know
- This position has the ability to work a hybrid schedule with some days on campus and some days remote.
- This position will occasionally be required to work evenings/weekends.
What We Can Offer
The salary range is $70,000-$76,000 annually. Relocation assistance may be available within Advancement guidelines.

What We Require
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience: 1+ years of professional, job-related experience.

What We Would Like You to Have
- Experience in a higher education environment, or non-profit.
- Experience working in customer service and/or an operations oriented role.
- Familiarity with donor tracking software such as Ellucian Advance, Salesforce, or other research tools and databases.
- Software Used: Microsoft Office products, database management, data manipulation, donor tracking software (i.e. Salesforce), video conferencing or team collaboration software (i.e. Zoom, Teams), Trello, Google docs/sheets, LinkedIn, DocuSign.
