Job Summary
Colorado Law welcomes applications for a Student Services Coordinator! This role is key in supporting the student services unit, including the Assistant Dean, Assistant Director, and Law Registrar. Working collaboratively, the unit provides critical services to students, including managing student organizations and programs, course registration, exam administration, and related academic functions.
As the first point of contact for law students and visitors, the coordinator provides guidance on curriculum, registration policies, and general inquiries. This position also contributes to the smooth operation of the unit by coordinating a range of projects and administrative tasks that enhance the student experience.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
Student Organization Management:
- Manage budgets, make purchases (including food and supplies) using PCard, and process student reimbursements to support law school student organizations.
- Collaborate with the Student Affairs team to plan and complete the annual New Student Leader Training each spring; maintain and update the Student Leader Handbook.
- Advise law school student organizations on university purchasing policies and guidelines for student-led events, and ensure they complete all required forms.
- Assist the Assistant Director of Student Services with coordinating travel logistics.
Certification and Data Management:
- Determine and validate bar exam eligibility for attorney admission. Manage requests from students and alumni for certifications needed for admission to practice law (e.g., bar certifications, character and fitness forms, student practice act certifications, letters of good standing, certificates of graduation, certificates of enrollment, etc.), coordinating with the Law Registrar, Assistant Director of Student Services and Assistant Dean of Student Services as needed.
- Be responsible for a highly complex student data collection process, including researching and validating data for externship forms, good standing verifications, education verification, transfer documentation, and bar exam eligibility.
- Confirm permission to share data with people requesting FERPA-protected information, verify information from CU-SIS, OnBase, Salesforce, and other databases, and ensure data accuracy and completeness.
- Work with the Student Affairs Team and Registrar to determine how to respond to complex questions related to bar certification and eligibility.
- Research and stay current on bar admission requirements across multiple jurisdictions as well as ABA standards; Assist the Director of Student Services in providing individualized guidance to students based on applicable processes and requirements.
Event Coordination and Communication:
- Support the Student Affairs Team and students, when applicable, in planning and implementing student-facing events and programs, including New Student Orientation, Commencement, Legal Grounds, Wellness Week, ABA-mandated trainings, and other key initiatives.
- Lead the planning and coordination of the New Student Activities Fair during August Orientation.
- Be responsible for all aspects of the annual Student Awards Ceremony in April, including budget managing, sending invitations to presenters and recipients, coordinating catering, designing the presentation, inviting the Wolf Law community, preparing and distributing award certificates, and managing the distribution of financial awards to students.
- Develop marketing materials and communications for student trainings, events, and exams.
- Create and publish Localist announcements to highlight important events, due dates, and information.
- Coordinate with other departments to foster collaboration, streamline scheduling, and ensure cohesive programming.
- Collaborate with the Assistant Director of Student Services to organize photos for first-year students and composite photos for graduating students.
Registration, Student Records, and Data:
- Manage student records data and ensure accuracy of data in student information systems, including Salesforce, OnBase, and others.
- Collaborate with students and faculty to manage registration for journals, competitions, externships, Wintersession, spring electives, non-bidding courses, and enrollment for MSL and other non-law students.
- Support Registrar's Office functions by processing grades, grade changes, class rank, conducting exams, Order of the Coif, public service pledge, dean’s list, graduation applications, and batch enrollment processes.
- Update and, if needed, create new student organization and orientation/class pages on Canvas.
- Track student organization records and update the website accordingly.
- Serve as a notary for the Law School.
Exam Support:
- Provide in-person support during the two-week final exam period each semester, as well as during midterms as needed. Responsibilities include assisting students in crisis/emergencies, offering technical and logistical support, and addressing general inquiries.
- Assist with exam administration and proctoring logistics, including recruiting and scheduling proctors, conducting training sessions for students and proctors, and collaborating with the Student Affairs Team to ensure ADA accommodations are implemented appropriately.
- Coordinate with the Law Registrar and Faculty Coordinators to manage the processing of completed exams.
- Assist with ordering and distributing snacks during exam periods.
Student Services Support:
- Counsel students who are experiencing high levels of stress.
- Manage a wide variety of requests, ensuring timely and professional responses while using sound judgment to prioritize and navigate competing concerns.
- Handle various correspondence from students, faculty, staff, and the public for the Assistant Dean of Student Services, Assistant Director of Student Services, and the Law Registrar.
- Provide professional service to students, faculty, staff, alumni, and visitors who come into the Office of Student Affairs.
- Support students through the bar application process, including coordinating on-site fingerprinting and notary services at Wolf Law.
Additional Projects:
- Support processing purchase orders, payments to vendors, procurement card allocations, etc.
- Process expenses through Concur Expense and Travel System and CU Marketplace.
- Assist with meeting coordination.
- Complete Student Affairs and Law Registrar-related webpage updates.
- Monitor and manage Student Affairs and Law Registrar departmental email accounts.
What You Should Know
This position offers a hybrid work modality. Some evening and weekend work hours may be required for events.
What We Can Offer
The starting salary range for this position is $54,060-$64,480 annually. Relocation is available within departmental guidelines.
