Job Summary
The Russian Studies Program at the University of Colorado is looking for a new colleague. We are accepting applications for a Teaching Professor in Russian Language and Russian, East European and Eurasian Culture. This is a three-academic-year, full-time (100%), non-tenure track position, with the possibility of renewal. The position begins fall 2023. Teaching responsibilities include all levels of Russian language as well as courses in Russian, East European, and/or Eurasian culture in English and Russian. Teaching load is three courses per semester. The position entails service components related to language placement, teaching assistant mentoring and observation, organizing extra-curricular activities, and participation in department governance.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
Teach 5-6 courses in Russian language and 0-1 course in Russian, East European and/or Eurasian culture.
What We Can Offer
The salary for this position is $54,000 - $56,000. Professional development and relocation funds may be available within department guidelines.

What We Require
- Native or near-native proficiency in Russian and English.
- MA degree or equivalent in Russian, East European and/or Eurasian Studies, Russian Linguistics, or a closely related field.
- At least 1 year college-level language teaching experience (Experience teaching can be gained during graduate studies); Familiarity with current language pedagogy and the ACTFL guidelines.
What We Would Like You to Have
- Ph.D. or equivalent in Russian, East European and/or Eurasian Studies, Russian Linguistics, or a closely related field.
- Evidence of professional activity (conference presentations, workshops, or publications) in a field related to teaching responsibilities.
