Job Summary
The University of Colorado, Boulder's Campus Dining and Hospitality department is currently hiring for Temporary Campus Dining Attendant! This position is responsible for providing operational support to front of house (FOH) and back of house (BOH) dining service operations, practicing safe food handling techniques, following standardized operating procedures, all while offering excellent customer service in a team-oriented and supported environment.

Campus Dining & Hospitality leads the industry with outstanding quality food and dining experiences. Campus venues include residential dining halls, catering and retail outlets with staff who strive to make each student's experience the best it can be. Serving about 3 million meals each year, Campus Dining & Hospitality is dedicated to expanding sustainability efforts and providing options to guests with dietary restrictions and allergens.
What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
Production & Service:
- Back of House (BOH) Production
- Prepare and assemble ingredients for recipes.
- Prepare entrees, starches, vegetables, and soups from raw state.
- Use a variety of equipment and cooking techniques.
- Clean prep areas, equipment and dishes following proper sanitation methods.
- Assist with setup, maintenance and breakdown of production and service areas.
- Front of House (FOH)
- Production set up, which includes tending to drink and service lines, dish rooms, dining rooms and courtesy stands.
- Stock and replenishes service ware Follows all sustainability and recycling procedures. Sanitize high contact surfaces.
Safety/Sanitation:
- Follow set food safety standards including A9 labeling and ParTech procedures.
- Clean seating areas, furniture, floors and fixtures.
- Serve on the food safety response team and responds to all food safety emergencies as appropriate to the work assignment.
Personnel:
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Empowered to make decisions in areas within their span of control.
- Train new staff members, both full time and student employees.
- Follow CDS uniform guidelines and personnel hygiene standards.

- Positions with Campus Dining and Hospitality are subject to changes in work schedule and campus location.
What We Can Offer
- The hourly rate for this position is $18.90 per hour.
Benefits
Temporary positions at the University of Colorado are not benefits-eligible, however, all positions are eligible for paid sick leave.

- Equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute.
What You Will Need
- Ability to work in a fast paced team driven environment.
What We Would Like You to Have
- State Food Safety certified and or certificate appropriate for the position level or the ability to acquire State Food Safety certification or certificate appropriate to position level within 6 months of hire, and must possess certification for the duration of employment with CDH.
- One year of food service work experience.
