Job Summary

The task at hand consists of enhancing an established astrodynamics software package called Basilisk. The engineer will focus on supporting the interfaces between the core codebase and a separate image generation application, as well as supporting general capabilities driven by the needs of the mission.

Who We Are

LASP is a world-renowned space science research institute at the University of Colorado Boulder employing over 700 scientists, engineers, support personnel, and students. What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

Specific job functions may include, but are not limited to:

  • Designing, developing, and modifying APIs to support astrodynamics modeling and analysis
  • Supporting robust image processing capabilities
  • Supporting the interface between core Basilisk code base and other software components
  • Code documentation, testing, and validation
  • Contributions to a software development team environment

What You Should Know

  • Due to US export control restrictions, must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
  • This is a temporary, hourly position and does not include benefits.

What We Can Offer

$37.50/hr.

What We Require

  • Completed undergraduate in computer science or related discipline.

What You Will Need

  • Experience in Basilisk.

What We Would Like You to Have

  • Experience developing both discrete event and continuous time simulation software.
  • Experience deriving and reasoning about large complex software code bases.
