Job Summary

The University of Colorado Boulder is searching for a Temporary HR Service Center Coordinator! This position will act as a resource to HR Service Center (HRSC) departments employing faculty, staff, and students. The Temporary HRSC Coordinator assists permanent HRSC Coordinators with personnel and payroll-related transactional work. Additionally, this position will collaborate with team members on assigned transaction related HRSC projects.

Who We Are

The HR Service Center provides transactional and support services for partnered departments including biweekly and monthly payroll, one-time payments, contract appointments, and more. We work with department HR Liaisons to process a variety of requests for all types of employees during their employee lifecycle.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

Human Resources and Payroll Services:
  • Complete a large number of HR and Payroll related transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with University, State, and Federal rules.
  • Build and maintain employment records using human resources management system (HCM) and maintain human resources-related data.
  • Provide transactional and policy expertise related to I-9 & e-verify, background checks, etc.
HRSC Outreach and Customer Service: 
  • Proactively develop constructive and harmonious working relationships with HRSC departments.
  • Meet quality standards for services, maintain a high level of professionalism in communications, and communicate with a wide variety of people across campus.
  • Serve as a member of the HR team and participate as a representative of HR in internal and external events and groups as appropriate.

What You Should Know

  • This is a temporary position to assist with transactional work from mid-September through Spring 2025.

What We Can Offer

  • Starting pay is $22/hr.

What We Require

  • Bachelor’s degree. Related experience may substitute for the degree on a year for year basis.

What You Will Need

  • Attention to detail.
  • Adaptability and the ability to work in a team-focused environment.
  • Strong prioritization and organization skills.
  • An ability to communicate well, particularly in written form.

What We Would Like You to Have

  • University HR experience.
  • Knowledge of HCM Peoplesoft system.
  • Knowledge of regent policy and classified state system.
