Job Summary

The LAIR research group, within the Aerospace Engineering Sciences (AES) department at the University of Colorado Boulder, is seeking a temporary researcher to assist with electronics and software engineering for the COSMO project affiliated with the Colorado Center for Astrodynamics Research Center (CCAR).

Who We Are

The LAIR research group works on modeling, data analysis, instrumentation, and small satellites to study the near-Earth space environment.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

This position is for a temporary, full-time electrical engineer supporting payload integration, electronics assembly and testing, and software development for the COSMO project. The engineer will complete the development of payload electronics and the associated control software, complete the electrical ground support equipment, and work with the spacecraft team to integrate the payload with the spacecraft avionics. This position includes work alongside fellow students, professional researchers, and LASP SMEs.

What We Can Offer

The hire rate for this part-time, temporary position will be $34.00 per hour.

What We Require

Completed BS degree in electrical or aerospace engineering and 1+ years of experience working on spacecraft electronics.

What You Will Need

Experience in electronics design and development, and software engineering including embedded systems engineering.

What We Would Like You to Have

Completed MS degree in electrical or aerospace engineering and 1+ years of experience working on spacecraft electronics.
