The Nonequilibrium Gas & Plasma Dynamics Laboratory in Aerospace Engineering Sciences is seeking a temporary researcher. This position will assist in the modeling of complex air chemistry that occurs around hypersonic vehicles affiliated with Aerospace Mechanics Research Center (AMReC).
Who We Are
The Nonequilibrium Gas & Plasma Dynamics Laboratory (NGPDL) is directed by Professor Iain D. Boyd. NGPDL is active in the development and application of physical models and numerical methods for simulation of nonequilibrium gas flows and plasmas. Current aerospace application areas include electric propulsion (small rockets used to control spacecraft), and hypersonic aerothermodynamics (flight of spacecraft at high speeds).

The hire rate for this part-time, temporary position will be $25.00 per hour.

Bachelor’s Degree in aerospace engineering or a similar discipline.
What You Will Need
Working knowledge of gas dynamics and thermodynamics.
