This position is a temporary researcher who will support an ongoing applied research project focused on qualitative inquiry in collaboration with industry partners.

The CSRA conducts applied, interdisciplinary research focused on generating rigorous, practice-informed insights in collaboration with industry stakeholders. Our work emphasizes qualitative and mixed-methods approaches, real-world implementation, and measurable impact. CSRA projects are highly collaborative and externally engaged, with findings regularly disseminated through national and international conferences and professional outlets.
What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
This position will support an ongoing applied research project focused on qualitative inquiry in collaboration with industry partners.
Responsibilities include:
- Designing and refining qualitative study protocols; conducting interviews and other qualitative data collection activities
- Managing, coding, and analyzing qualitative datasets
- Contributing to reports, presentations, and dissemination of findings
The role also involves coordination with external collaborators and support for conference presentations and project documentation.

What We Require
- Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., social sciences, education, engineering education, human-centered computing, or a related discipline).
- Demonstrated experience designing and conducting qualitative research.
- Experience with qualitative data management and analysis techniques.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a research team.
What We Would Like You to Have
- Prior experience working within the CSRA or on CSRA-led projects.
- Experience with industry-engaged or applied research.
- Record of presenting research at regional, national, or international conferences.
- Familiarity with the specific research methods, datasets, or tools used in CSRA projects.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal onboarding.
