Job Summary

The University of Colorado Boulder Athletics Department encourages applications for a Temporary Strength and Conditioning Intern! This 9 month role will assist in establishing and implementing strength & conditioning programs for student athletes. Work with head and assistant strength coaches with data entry. Assist in maintaining the safety and high quality of the weight equipment and facility. Assist with maintaining the cleanliness of facility and the set up/break down of teams' training sessions. The internship is structured and crafted to prepare the intern to advance in their career of Strength and Conditioning.

What You Should Know

  • Schedule: Full-Time, 35-40 hrs a week. Weekdays, times may vary: some early mornings and some late evening. Weekends as needed.

What We Can Offer

  • The hourly rate is $17.00.


Temporary positions at the University of Colorado are not benefits-eligible, however, all positions are eligible for paid sick leave

What We Require

  • Bachelors Degree. 
  • Current certification, or working towards certification, with the NSCA-CSCS or CSCC-SCCC.
  • University of Colorado at Boulder is an official CSCC mentorship site available to those pursuing the SCCC certification.

What You Will Need

  • Knowledge in safe lifting techniques as well as being a mentor to student athletes. 
  • Dedicated to their work and passionate about working with collegiate level athletes. 
  • Be able to communicate optimally with a diverse group of student athletes.

What We Would Like You To Have

  • Experience working with Collegiate Athletics performance program within a team training setting.
  • Former D1 basketball player.
  • Ability to lead small and large groups.
