Job Summary
The Office of Admissions at CU Boulder welcomes applications for a Virtual & On-Campus Program Coordinator! The Virtual and On-Campus Program Coordinator will assist in leading the efforts of the Office of Admissions in promoting and providing a welcoming in-person and virtual environment for visiting students and their families, high school counselors and community leaders to the University of Colorado Boulder campus.
This role is responsible for the management and coordination of in-person and virtual admission-related programs and activities. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, managing on campus visit programs ranging from large scale events to small group visits to virtual sessions, co-advising the Student Ambassador program, supervising the Student Ambassadors, supporting the management/oversight of campus information desks, and participating in recruitment trips and application review. This position plays a critical role in on-campus recruitment as we host close to 62,000 visitors annually. Due to this volume, the person in this role must be detail-oriented, be able to manage multiple projects at once and have a clear understanding of event planning, from visualizing and planning to execution.
This position will work closely with the Enrollment Management Marketing and Communication team on campus visit program promotional and business communications. This includes working collaboratively to develop strategies, draft content and periodically use the office's CRM system to push information out to registered guests.
A critical piece of campus visit programs are the student ambassadors who are a key component to visit programs running and functioning properly. The Program Coordinator will co-advise this 100+ student group, which covers 100% of the office's daily tour and visit offerings and aids in supporting additional in-person and virtual programs within the office. In addition, this person will supervise the student executive team as well as the ambassadors. They oversee all aspects of supervision from timesheet reviewal, the hiring and termination process, training, and providing feedback to aid in professional development. This person will help change and shape the future of the ambassador program so that it can continue to grow as the Office of Admissions and campus visit programs grow at CU Boulder. This position reports to the Senior Assistant Director, Virtual and On-Campus Programs and is a member of the Visit Programs Leadership team.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
- Plan and coordinate select virtual and on-campus visit programs for prospective and admitted students, including, but not limited to: Explore CU programs (prospective student programs), Admitted Buff Days (admitted student programs), Discover CU Boulder (summer open house), Ralphie's Visits (high school group visits), special visit and VIP tours, and virtual visit experiences. The person in this position will serve as the back-up coordinator for the Senior Assistant Director (Admitted Student Day, special programs and other programs as decided) and will coordinate virtual and on-campus program events. In this role, the Program Coordinator will strategically and effectively analyze data (visitor counts and survey feedback) to recommend and implement improvements and changes to campus visit programs. The Program Coordinator will collaborate with the Associate Director for Virtual and On-Campus Programs and the recruitment leadership team to ensure campus programs meet strategic recruitment and outreach goals. One of these overarching goals is to broaden our virtual and on-campus programs to reach a wide variety of populations. As a part of the programming staff, you will have the opportunity to participate in staff development activities including appropriate university workshops, conferences and programs, and state and national professional organizations. The Program Coordinator is required to be at all on-campus events which includes, but is not limited to: Discover CU Boulder, Explore CU Boulder, Admitted Student Day, Admitted Buff Days, Admitted Student Information Sessions and Tours, DIVE, Transfer Admitted Student Day, and other events as assigned by the Associate Director of Virtual and On-Campus Programs.
- In conjunction with the Senior Assistant Director, co-advise the student ambassador organization. Co-advising includes mentorship of the student executive team and ensuring the program has the tools and resources needed to be successful. A continuous goal, of the co-advisors and the executive board, is to continually expand cultural representation within the ambassador organization. A critical piece of this role is student supervision. This person has direct supervision of the student ambassador executive team, the Virtual and On Campus Visit programs interns, and general ambassadors. At one time this person can supervise over 100 students.
- Offer tertiary supervision and management of the student staff members working in the CASE building at the 2 designated information and visitor services desks. This also includes managing, training, supervising, and evaluating support staff, including student staff. Provide operational support of the CASE building as needed.
- Conduct admission presentations to various populations. Advise and counsel prospects, applicants, and students on University admissions policies, procedures, and requirements. Develop and maintain effective communication with constituents in the university, high school, and other institutions of higher education, government agencies, and community based organizations and professional organizations regarding the admission of students to CU Boulder. This includes representing CU Boulder to a broad range of constituents at college fairs, community college visits, large-scale receptions and other recruitment activities when needed. In addition, this person will rotate as the counselor on duty on a regular basis, with other recruitment staff members.
- Review and render admission decisions on undergraduate applications independently and as an active member of the admission review committee.
- Serve on task forces or committees related to Admissions goals.
- Participate in staff development activities including appropriate university workshops, conferences and programs, and state and national professional organizations. Other duties as assigned.

- The salary range for this position is $54,060 - $55,060 per year.

What We Require
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis.
