The Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado Boulder is hiring an Assistant Professor position in OLIA for Fall 2025.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

  • The Division of Organizational Leadership and Information Analytics (OLIA) within the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado Boulder seeks an outstanding candidate for a full-time Assistant Teaching Professor in Business Analytics and Machine Learning. The appointment will begin on July 1st, 2025.
  • The successful candidate is expected to teach hands-on, project-based classes in topics such as Business Analytics, Supply Chain Analytics, and Machine Learning Applications. Candidates will have the opportunity to develop and deliver innovative courses that engage students in practical, real-world data analysis and machine learning projects. The candidate is also expected to actively contribute to curriculum development and other programmatic initiatives that foster excellence and innovation in business analytics education.

What We Can Offer

  • This is a one, multi-year contract. The salary range for this 100% appointment is $85,000. Additional benefits include FDA and a computer allowance.

What We Require

  • A Master’s degree or Ph.D. in business analytics, information systems, computer science, statistics, data science, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 9 months’ experience teaching hands-on, project-driven classes in business analytics, machine learning, or closely related areas.
  • Experience working with industry partners to solve their problems through student projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage students effectively through experiential learning approaches.

What We Would Like You to Have

  • Experience integrating industry tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL, cloud platforms) into coursework.
  • Experience teaching at the undergraduate and/or master's level.
  • Interest in curricular innovation, including online and hybrid course development.
  • Ability to mentor students on applied projects, competitions, and capstones.
  • Strong collaboration skills and a commitment to programmatic excellence.
