Job Summary
The Office of The Chancellor at CU Boulder invites applications for The Event Manager position! This role will Coordinate and manage recognition ceremonies across campus, support commencement marketing and communications.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
Commencement and Recognition Ceremonies:
- Liaison to campus community for recognition ceremonies, including colleges, schools, departments, programs, venues and campus partners
- Manage venue inventory and centralized scheduling process
- Build and manage additional venue infrastructure as needed to support units
- Provide support for campus master plan; facilitate planning and execution of campus services and event management elements
- Manage venue/ceremony volunteers
- Plan and complete commencement open house
- Maintain OIT Project Management plan for Recognition Ceremonies
- Support website maintenance
- Oversee recognition ceremony budget
- Manage cord and stole request and approval process including developing materials for commencement committee, and maintaining academic dress webpage
- Manage regalia partner relationships and communicate key deadlines to campus.
Athletics:
- Support game day logistics and guest relations
- Manage hospitality logistics such as nametags, gifts, etc.
- Staff away games and post-season activities as needed.
Events:
- Serve as lead for one time “pop-up” events such as welcome or retirement events, etc.
- Coordinate approval and scheduling processes, communications, logistics, programming, etc.
- Provide general event support to Associate and Assistant directors as needed.
- Support event preparations including registration, packing, etc.
Other duties:
- Serve as back-up for all office emails inboxes including commencement@colorado.edu, chancellorevents@colorado.edu; response@colorado.edu.
- Support EP&O projects such as the Sesquicentennial
- Support facilities operations at the Flatiron House and University Club
What You Should Know
- This is a primarily in-person position with the ability to work remotely on occasion. We plan on discussing this in the interview process.
- This position will work nights and weekends depending on our event schedules.
What We Can Offer
- The annual salary range for this full-time position is $51,000-$63,0000.

What We Require
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute.
- 1+ years of professional, job-related experience.
