Who We Are

At the Department of Integrative Physiology we study organisms as functioning systems of molecules, cells, tissues, and organs. This emphasis on whole-body function, and its applications to human health and disease, has made Integrative Physiology the largest undergraduate major at CU-Boulder. Our PhD program was recently ranked 9th out of 63 physiology programs in the country. Our diverse faculty include several who have joint affiliations with the Institute for Behavioral Genetics and the Center for Neuroscience, as well as clinical divisions at the CU-Anschutz medical campus.

This position will be housed in the Sleep, Inflammation, Neuropathology Laboratory, more information can be found here. 

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

  • Rodent handling and husbandry.
  • Biochemical assay for protein and nucleic acid assay quantification.
  • Rodent manipulations including surgical procedures and drug administration.
  • Immunohistochemistry of brain tissue.
  • Fluorescence and light microscopy.
  • Statistical analysis and data visualization.
  • Scientific writing.

What We Can Offer

  • $61,000 Annual Salary 
  • $1,500 may be available in relocation funds.

  • PhD in Biological Field.

What You Will Need

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Highly organized 
  • Experience with leadership

  • 3 years research experience.
