Job Summary

The Computer Science (CS) Department at CU Boulder is seeking a Postdoctoral Associate to work with Professor Katharina von der Wense, starting in August of 2026. The Postdoctoral Associate will conduct research on how large language models handle uncertainty in their inputs, and investigate different training data attribution methods.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

Conduct research on input uncertainty and training data attribution in the context of large language models; advise students on the aforementioned research topics; publish on the aforementioned research topics.

The salary for this 56.85% time position will be $42,637.50 annually.

What We Require

Completed PhD in natural language processing or a closely related field.

What You Will Need

Excellent python and pytorch skills; excellent English writing and communication skills; experience publishing at ACL, NeurIPS, AAAI or related venues.

What We Would Like You to Have

Experience researching input uncertainty or training data attribution in the context of large language models.
