Who We Are

The Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences (ATOC) provides an elite, interdisciplinary research and educational environment to examine the dynamical, physical, and chemical processes that occur in the atmosphere and ocean. A major theme is the establishment of a physical basis for observing, modeling, and understanding climate and global change. What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

  • Candidate will work on generative machine learning methods to enhance probabilistic prediction of extreme weather events over the Northeast Pacific region and the US West Coast.

  • This position starts June 1 and ends July 31, 2025.

The hiring rate for this position is $61,000 per year.
