Who We Are

The faculty roster for the Department of Integrative Physiology includes 16 tenured and tenure-eligible faculty and 13 instructor-rank faculty. The department offers B.A., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Integrative Physiology. Please visit our website for more details on the department and the university. Research in the Department spans the entire discipline of physiology, from the genetics of behavioral traits to the assessment of human performance and population health.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

Screening, Monitoring and Testing Research Subjects
  • Prepare equipment and supplies for scheduled procedures.
  • Assist investigator with some laboratory procedures (e.g., exercise testing, DXA, blood pressure measurements, ultrasound imaging, etc.)
  • Monitor subject compliance using online survey records.
Data Management and Subject Results
  • Analysis of computer-recorded physiological data (e.g., ECG, BP waveforms, physical activity monitors, etc.)
  • Assist with management of database (timely data entry into spreadsheets, assure data are properly recorded in files and in computer databases).
Wet Lab Duties
  • Processing of blood samples for testing.
  • Data Management.
  • Data entry.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and REDCap

What We Can Offer

The hiring rate for this position is $26.00 hourly for 12-15 hours of work a week.

What We Require

  • BA/BS in IPHY or other related field.

What We Would Like You to Have

  • Experience working with older adults in a health care or research setting, prior experience with vascular function assessment protocols and blood processing.
