The candidate will support day-to-day research projects, organization and maintenance of laboratory equipment, supplies, and reagents, data collection and statistical analysis.
Who We Are
The Baratta Laboratory at University of Colorado Boulder focuses on stress resilience - what promotes it and how. Ongoing projects examine the processes by which the impact of coping with stress generalizes to future adversity, including those that involve fear, social competition and other motivational states. We are also examining the similarities and differences of how the relevant circuits operate in other pro-resilience factors such as exercise.
What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
- The Temporary Researcher will be involved in experimental design, stereotactic surgery, viral vector delivery, estrous cycle determination, and behavioral procedures for the studies proposed in the NIMH R01 funded award.
- The Temporary Researcher will also manage post-operative care, preparation of tissue for slicing and histological verification, in situ hybridization and immunohistochemistry.
