Who We Are

IBS is a research institute at the University of Colorado Boulder. Since its establishment in 1957, IBS has provided a setting for interdisciplinary, collaborative research on problems of societal concern. By engaging faculty from all the social and behavioral sciences at the University of Colorado Boulder, IBS encourages work that transcends disciplinary boundaries, that illuminates the complexity of social behavior and social life, and that has important implications for social policy; IBS researchers are expected to conduct research that fulfills that mission. IBS is organized into five research programs, each defined by an interdisciplinary area of research and directed by a senior research scientist. This recruitment is sponsored by the Institute’s Environment & Society Program, with support from the Population Program, Health & Society Program, and the Program on International Development. What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

The research assistant will assist with tasks related to community-based LC and TF-CBT training and implementation, including activities that support parent and youth engagement and retention in project activities, delivery of LC and TF-CBT with families, collection of project performance metrics, creating materials to promote impact storytelling and dissemination of findings, and contributing to academic publications, reports, and presentations.

The hire rate for this temporary, part-time position will be $30.00 per hour.

What We Require

  • High attention to detail, critical thinking skills, teamwork and collaboration
  • Experience working on research projects related to child development, family functioning, mental health and/or intervention and prevention programs
  • Familiarity with Let’s Connect and other evidence-based interventions for child, youth and families

What We Would Like You to Have

  • 2 or more years of experience observing or working with youth and families
  • 2 or more years of experience conducting or supporting clinical research activities
